The modern edition of Quantz’s works is complete!!!

The modern edition transcription from the original manuscript sources of the instrumental and vocal works of Johann Joachim Quantz has been completed and contains:
1. 221 sonatas;
2. 64 trio sonatas;
3. 58 solos, duets and trios for flute without bass;
4. 6 quartets for flute and strings;
5. 252 concertos for flute and string orchestra;
6. 8 concertos for various instruments and orchestra;
7. 31 vocal pieces.
Most of the manuscripts come from the StaatsBibliothek zu Berlin, but manuscripts and prints from Quantz’s time from Dresden, Copenhagen, Paris, Brussels, Stockholm, London, etc. have also been used.
All the pieces attributed with certainty to Quantz in the Augsbach catalogue have been transcribed, as well as numerous pieces of uncertain attribution.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to examine and transcribe 14 concerts preserved in the Russian Central Library in St. Petersburg because it is not currently possible to purchase a copy due to the sanctions resulting from the Russian-Ukrainian war.
All the pieces in modern notation are available on the website https://quantzedition.org/ or on the website https://armoniaantiqua.org/
